The National Audubon Society is seeking a GIS Specialist, Audubon Americas. This role provides essential spatial analysis and mapping support for Audubon Americas (AA) strategies and projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. The Specialist is responsible for managing the Impact and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) system of Audubon Americas. Key Responsibilities: Design new tools to display and/or interact with GIS data and conservation priorities and provide technical support and training to other staff; co-develop projects with the conservation team and contribute to grant proposals and project design; conduct spatial analysis to inform hemispheric bird conservation work across the Americas flyway; produce maps, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate conservation impact; integrate external biodiversity, land-use, climate, and other datasets into Audubon's GIS infrastructure; support field-based partners with GIS training and technical support. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, geography, landscape ecology, natural resource management, or a related discipline; proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related tools; strong spatial analysis skills; ability to work across international teams and time zones; Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred given the Americas focus.
