GIS Specialist - Entry Level (Hybrid)

Supports renewable energy civil design and geotechnical projects (wind, solar, storage) across North America within a hybrid work arrangement at Barr Engineering. Performs spatial data analysis using raster and vector datasets; manages, formats, and edits datasets. Creates maps and figures communicating project findings. Provides GIS support for field investigations and data collection. Completes database entries and supports web mapping applications. Integrates GIS data with AutoCAD and Google Earth. Ensures accuracy of outputs and communicates best practices. Requires Bachelor's degree in GIS, geology, environmental science, geography, or related field, experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro for mapping and spatial analysis, ability to source geospatial data from public repositories, valid driver's license. Preferred: Master's degree, 2+ years GIS consulting experience, ArcGIS Online, ArcSDE geodatabases, scripting, GPS data collection. Salary: $60,000-$70,000.
