GIS Specialist

AECOM is actively seeking a talented, energetic technology-minded Geographic Information System (GIS) professional for immediate employment in the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) office as a seconded employee. This position will be part of a team of GIS Specialists supporting the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton IGI&S Program with GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development, and technical support. Key duties include conducting editing procedures in ArcMap working with enterprise geodatabases, managing content and developing apps in portal for ArcGIS, formatting data to the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE), creating and maintaining Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) compliant metadata, and collaborating with subject matter experts to obtain geospatial data requirements. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in geography, planning, engineering, computer science, or related technical field with emphasis in GIS, plus 2 years of relevant experience. The GIS Specialist is a full-time AECOM employee reporting to the Associate Vice President & GIS Sr Manager in the Technology Services Group, supporting the USMC client within the Environment Business line.
