GIS Specialist

Carroll Electric Cooperative Corporation in Berryville, Arkansas is hiring a GIS Specialist within the Engineering Services Department. The position will effectively learn and perform a variety of duties necessary for the operation and maintenance of the cooperative's geographic information system. Key responsibilities: maintain and update GIS databases and other related information including mapping; perform design work on spatial databases and maps; train other GIS technicians; interpret engineering plans; manage data for integration with other applications; convert engineering plans into system records; coordinate with Engineering and Operations departments; and provide technical guidance to GIS users across the cooperative. The successful candidate will support electric utility infrastructure mapping, outage management workflows, and GPS field data collection efforts. Required qualifications: degree or progress toward a degree in Geographic Information Systems; minimum 5 years of experience with geo-spatial databases and GPS equipment; education and hands-on experience with spatial data systems. The position reports to the GIS Coordinator. Full-time, on-site role located at 920 Hwy 62 Spur, Berryville, AR 72616.
