GIS Specialist

CPS Energy in San Antonio is hiring a GIS Specialist to deliver advanced geospatial solutions that support gas and electric utility operations. The position encompasses enterprise data management, spatial analysis, regulatory compliance, and GIS application development for utility infrastructure. Core responsibilities: develop and maintain geodatabases for gas and electric assets; conduct QA/QC on spatial data and analytical outputs; administer ArcGIS Enterprise components; build web applications and field data collection solutions; create maps, dashboards, and analytical products for planning and regulatory compliance; collaborate with engineering, operations, and planning teams to integrate spatial data into utility workflows. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience; advanced proficiency with ArcGIS tools in multi-versioned environments; strong spatial data analysis and communication abilities; valid Class C Driver's License. Preferred: experience with electric/gas facility planning; ArcGIS Utility Network model knowledge; familiarity with systems like OMS, SCADA, SAP, or Oracle; web application development and dashboarding tools experience.
