GIS Technician - GeoSpatial Services

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota invites candidates to apply for a full-time GIS Technician position at GeoSpatial Services (GSS), a nationally recognized project center within the university focused on natural resource assessment, geographic analysis, and contemporary mapping. The role involves spatial data development for natural resource management applications. Requires an accredited Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in biology, ecology, natural resources, environmental science, geography, or a related field with additional education and/or work experience focused on the application of GIS technology. A minimum of 2 years work experience in spatial data development for natural resource management applications is required, along with proficiency in ArcGIS and related tools, scientific research and report writing, and working in a team environment. Clients include the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management.
