GIS Technician III

The GIS Technician III is primarily responsible for the production and maintenance of Clark County's GIS data, custom map products, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries for GIS products, services, or technical support. Reports directly to a GIS Coordinator and serves on several inter-departmental project teams. Key responsibilities include managing GIS data within the county's enterprise system, creating custom GIS-based maps, reports, and web applications using Esri software, developing Python and Arcade scripts for automation, importing and digitizing geospatial data, performing spatial analysis and visualization, training county staff on Esri software, and troubleshooting GIS-related issues. Requires a Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, planning, computer science, or related field, two years of experience with Esri GIS software, and one year developing and maintaining Python/Arcade scripts.
