GIS Technician

The City of Bloomington seeks a GIS Technician to support routine Geographic Information Systems (GIS) functions, including geospatial data collection, entry, analysis, processing, and maintenance. This is a regular part-time position (30–39 hours per week) with full benefits. Primary Duties: Collect, create, process, and maintain spatial data and attributes using GIS software. Perform GIS data entry, analysis, maintenance, and quality control checks. Integrate data from asset management programs, aerial photographs, and field collection activities. Operate GIS equipment including large-format printers, GPS field units, and UAVs. Produce maps and analytical products upon request from city departments. Document GIS data, files, procedures, and workflows. Conduct periodic field data collection of City assets. Requirements: Associate's degree in related field (computer or information science) or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of ESRI ArcGIS experience preferred. Computer graphics, CAD, or database management experience preferred. Valid driver's license required. Compensation and Benefits: Salary $27.55–$31.68 per hour. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
