GIS Technician

The City of Salida, Colorado is hiring a GIS Technician to support the Public Works department by maintaining GIS infrastructure and spatial data systems. Key responsibilities: update maps and databases; collect spatial data using GPS and field methods; prepare technical documentation; integrate GIS into asset management systems; provide mapping support across city departments including planning, public works, parks, and utilities; maintain ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online datasets; create cartographic deliverables for staff and the public; and support day-to-day spatial data management for Salida's growing GIS program. Candidates should have experience with spatial data, mapping technology, and infrastructure systems, plus familiarity with ESRI software.
