GIS Technician

Harris County Toll Road Authority is seeking a GIS Technician to perform routine specialized and detailed GIS mapping and analysis duties using ESRI technologies for transportation planning and civil engineering projects. Key responsibilities include maintaining GIS data and producing maps, datasets, graphics, and reports; performing data entry, updates, and analysis with proper documentation; geo-referencing digital maps and managing remotely sensed data; operating GIS equipment including large format printers and scanners; and addressing specific planning and environmental mapping challenges. Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus five years of related experience in geographic information systems or surveying. Valid Texas driver's license required. Technical skills include proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, knowledge of Network Analyst Extension, Cogo, and Georeference tools, and AutoCAD or Microstation experience. This is a temporary full-time position. Primarily office-based with occasional site visits. Closing date: April 6, 2026.
