The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District is seeking an Interdisciplinary Geospatial Section Chief at the GS-13 level. This supervisory position directs subordinate staff in accomplishing site design, geospatial information system, surveying, and computer aided design and drafting program management functions. The incumbent manages overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. Key duties include overseeing workforce recruitment, development, and performance management, implementing technology strategies to enhance productivity, directing subordinate teams in survey data collection and processing, and serving as the District's Geospatial Data and Systems Program Manager. Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, surveying, geography, or related field with specific coursework requirements (transcripts mandatory). Experience: One year of specialized geospatial functions experience (GIS, surveying, mapping) at GS-12 level or equivalent. Additional requirements: Professional registration required, financial disclosure reporting mandatory. Eligibility limited to current Army civilians, veterans, military spouses, and career transition applicants. Salary: $115,439-$150,075 per year.
