The Land Protection Specialist will be part of the Pennsylvania/Delaware Business Unit of The Nature Conservancy, providing support to the land protection team implementing land protection activities in Pennsylvania to conserve and maintain connectivity between the Central and Northern Appalachians for climate change adaptation, as well as land protection activities in Delaware to support marsh migration in response to sea level rise. Responsibilities include implementing land protection strategies, employing a full range of protection tools to acquire varying degrees of legal interest in land, providing project support and coordination, creating maps using ArcGIS, and contracting and managing due diligence for acquisition projects. Requires a BA/BS degree in natural resources management, conservation, business, law, or related field, 3 years of related work experience in conservation or real estate, experience with GIS software and creating maps, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Desired qualifications include 3-5 years of natural resource management experience, database management skills, and familiarity with principles of land acquisition. Full-time telecommute-eligible position based in the Harrisburg, PA office (3 days/week required).
