Salary: $115,648.00 - $139,630.40 annually, with 31% bonus pay for Professional Land Surveyor registration and 8% bonus for LSIT certification. Key responsibilities: Prepare legal descriptions, Records of Surveys, easement plats, and certificates; participate in and supervise the Geographic Systems Cadastral Mapping Program; perform Computer-Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) project processing; direct field survey crews and serve as Party Chief on survey crews; train and evaluate subordinate employees; read and interpret construction plans, survey notes, and right-of-way drawings; establish horizontal and vertical control using electronic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors; execute complex coordinate geometry calculations. Minimum requirements (one of): Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying plus three years of journey-level land surveying experience; Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or GIS (minimum 30 semester/45 quarter units in land surveying) plus three years experience; State Professional Land Surveyor registration; or Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) Certificate plus three years experience.
