This GS-1373-13 position within the Southwestern Division Real Estate Division requires professionals to perform the project lead duties on large, complex surveying projects and serve as a technical expert in the field of Geospatial Services. Key functions include designing study parameters, coordinating technical activities, preparing professional analyses and reports for government agencies, coordinating and managing field parties and contractors, and monitoring advancements in surveying practices and mapping software. The role coordinates technical activities covering topographic, hydrographic, geodetic, cadastral, photogrammetric, and remote sensing surveying and mapping programs. Candidates must possess one year of specialized experience demonstrating professional knowledge of physical science, boundary, and geospatial theories; addressing complex geomatics assignments with independent judgment; and conducting planning and coordination of surveying functions while managing contract requirements. A Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) certification is mandatory. A bachelor's degree in land surveying or civil engineering with surveying emphasis is required. This is a term appointment not to exceed 3 years. Salary: $115,711-$150,426 per year.
