Additional Information
We are looking for a Lead Geospatial & Point Cloud Modeling Specialist to drive high-precision 3D modeling and spatial analysis for complex infrastructure and transportation projects. This role focuses on converting large-scale LiDAR datasets into engineering-ready 3D, CAD, and BIM deliverables that directly support planning, design validation, asset assessment, and technical reporting.
You will act as a subject-matter expert for point cloud processing and infrastructure modeling, working closely with civil, structural, and BIM teams to ensure spatial accuracy, modeling integrity, and compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Point Cloud Processing & 3D Modeling
Process, classify, and analyze large LiDAR point cloud datasets for infrastructure applications
Create high-resolution 3D surface, solid, and mesh models from LiDAR and scan data
Develop accurate digital representations of terrain, structures, and transportation assets
Infrastructure & Transportation Modeling
Build detailed models for:
Roads, highways, rail corridors, and associated assets
Bridges, flyovers, and complex structural elements
Buildings and surrounding urban infrastructure
Support structural and condition assessments through precise spatial analysis
Scan-to-CAD & Scan-to-BIM Delivery
Convert point cloud data into engineering-grade CAD drawings and BIM models
Execute Scan-to-BIM workflows aligned with project and client standards
Develop Revit-based models suitable for design coordination, clash detection, and documentation
Technical Analysis & Reporting
Perform LiDAR-driven measurements and analysis for infrastructure evaluation
Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and visual outputs for engineering and project stakeholders
Validate spatial accuracy, tolerances, and model consistency across deliverables
Collaboration & Quality Assurance
Work closely with civil, structural, and BIM teams to align models with engineering intent
Ensure adherence to modeling standards, naming conventions, and quality benchmarks
Support project planning by providing accurate spatial insights and constructability inputs
Required Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in LiDAR processing, point cloud modeling, and spatial analysis
Proven expertise in modeling infrastructure assets such as bridges, roads, railways, and buildings
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and interpretation of civil and structural drawings
Working knowledge of Revit and BIM-based delivery workflows
Hands-on experience with Scan-to-BIM methodologies
Solid understanding of bridge components, geometry, and structural layouts
Ability to interpret complex point cloud datasets and translate them into engineering-ready outputs
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects is highly preferred
