The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) at The Ohio State University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Geospatial Science. The lecturer will primarily support ENR 3700: Introduction to Spatial Information for Environment and Natural Resources, and will develop and teach an advanced GIS course incorporating tools such as Python for GIS, machine learning for remote sensing, cloud-based geospatial computing (e.g., Google Earth Engine), and UAV (drone)-based data collection. The lecturer will also support GIS application and advising for the ENR Capstone course sequence, assisting students in integrating geospatial tools and techniques into their applied projects. Requires a Master's degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geography, or related field, with proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools. Ph.D. or significant industry experience preferred.
