NV5 is seeking a talented LiDAR/GIS Specialist to join their dynamic team and contribute to the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure. The role supports analytics teams by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on LiDAR applications for utility vegetation management programs. Key responsibilities include processing, analyzing, and interpreting LiDAR and GIS datasets to identify vegetation risks to utility assets, performing advanced classification, segmentation, and extraction of vegetation and infrastructure from LiDAR point clouds, utilizing remote sensing techniques to assess vegetation growth, encroachments, and risk factors, using ArcGIS, QGIS, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, and AutoCAD to visualize and analyze complex geospatial data, and developing scripts and automation tools (Python, SQL, FME) to streamline data processing and integrating GIS and LiDAR workflows with asset management systems. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, Forestry, Environmental Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field.
