National Consultancy: GIS Specialist

UNFPA Somalia Country Office is hiring a National Consultancy GIS Specialist (Job Identification 32966, Grade NOB) to provide senior-level GIS and population data expertise supporting UNFPA's geospatial work in Somalia. The consultant will lead the design and implementation of GIS workflows for population data and survey data, compile and clean spatial datasets from multiple sources, administer enterprise GIS, develop dashboards, design survey forms and logic, and analyze and visualize population, health, and immunization-related data. Duties include providing technical GIS support to UNFPA projects implemented with the Government of Somalia, producing thematic maps and atlases, supporting cartographic outputs for census preparation and humanitarian response, and building capacity of national counterparts. Requires Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Statistics, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience; proficiency in English and Somali required. Four-month consultancy based in Mogadishu, Somalia.
