Payette Seasonal Forestry Technician
Overview
Temporary full-time role (May 18 - October 16, 2026) focusing on integrated vegetation management and fuels management on the Payette National Forest. Key responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-treatment surveys, stand layout, data collection on tree felling and fuel removal, and ecosystem restoration monitoring. Requires working knowledge of GPS, ArcGIS, Survey123, or Field Maps. Must safely hike and navigate alone in remote steep mountainous areas using map, compass, GPS and other digital mapping applications. Forest Service seasonal housing available. Pay $22.91/hour.
