Postdoctoral Research Associate: GeoAI and Remote Sensing

The GeoAI Lab at the University of Florida, led by Dr. Di Yang in the Department of Geography, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate for a multi-institutional project studying invasive grass Ventenata dubia. The role involves designing remote sensing campaigns using ground spectrometers, UAVs, and satellite imagery; developing machine learning models for species discrimination; integrating ecological data to model invasion dynamics; and leading peer-reviewed publications. Required qualifications include a PhD in Remote Sensing, Geography, Biology, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field; demonstrated expertise in processing and analyzing remote sensing data; strong Python and Google Earth Engine proficiency; machine learning and deep learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow; and a track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
