Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever seek a Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist to modernize conservation delivery by working directly with farmers and landowners across 17 central Illinois counties. The specialist analyzes farm operations using economic data to develop profitability scenarios and return-on-investment planning for conservation practices, identifies and engages interested farmers, provides economic analyses of best management practices, develops relationships with agricultural partners, and serves as a liaison between farmers and USDA/FWS personnel. GIS is central to the role: the position requires ArcGIS expertise, specifically the ability to import and export data, create and edit shapefiles, and produce professional-looking maps to guide precision-agriculture and conservation planning. Additional duties include maintaining customer tracking and project reporting and organizing workshops and field-day outreach events. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife Management, Precision Agriculture, or a related field (or an Associate's degree plus 5+ years of experience), ArcGIS proficiency, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of USDA Farm Bill programs preferred. Salary $46,000-$66,000 plus benefits. Open until filled.
