Public Works GIS Data Steward Analyst

Maintains Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for the Public Works Department. Collects, inputs, edits, and verifies spatial data from a variety of internal and external data inputs. Maintains GIS datasets supporting municipal infrastructure including water, sewer, stormwater, and transportation systems. Performs quality control checks of asset data to ensure accuracy. Generates standard and ad-hoc reports using asset data systems and develops spatial queries to support maintenance operations. Provides troubleshooting and operational support for GIS/CMMS users, working with IT to resolve technical issues. Delivers technical assistance and training to GIS product users. Operates large-format plotters and maintains safety standards. Requires high school diploma plus four years of professional GIS experience, or a post-secondary degree in GIS may substitute for experience. Strong background in GIS and CAD software required. AFSCME-represented position, full-time 40 hours/week with 12-month probationary period. Salary: $32.88-$41.81 per hour.
