This part-time temporary position (approximately 20 hours/week through June 30, 2027) requires collecting and analyzing geospatial data for coastal dune and canyon restoration projects in San Diego County. Key responsibilities include: GIS data collection and spatial analysis (25% of role) - acquiring, managing, and analyzing geospatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, and ArcGIS Field Maps; project mapping and reporting (30%) - creating publication-quality maps and synthesizing spatial data into scientific reports and stakeholder communications; literature reviews (20%) - reviewing scientific literature related to coastal resilience, climate change, and nature-based solutions; and community outreach support (25%) - supporting engagement initiatives with community partners focused on coastal restoration. Required qualifications: minimum two years college experience; advanced ArcGIS proficiency including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Spatial Analyst, and Field Maps; knowledge of San Diego County biodiversity and climate risks; strong organizational and communication skills.
