Restoration and Invasive Species Management Technician - GIS Specialist

Trillium Invasive Species Management manages invasive plants and restores land across the Hudson Valley region of New York. This GIS Specialist role combines field operations (pesticide application, manual removal, machinery use) with GIS database maintenance. Requires a high level of competency with ArcGIS Pro and previous experience designing Survey123 forms, field-grade GPS and GIS experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Additional skills include chainsaw certification, small engine operation, ATV experience, and plant identification. Must be able to hike for several hours in inclement weather while managing steep terrain, carry a 35-lb backpack, and lift 50 lbs. Education: B.S. in Natural Resources or equivalent; NYSDEC pesticide applicator licensure preferred but training provided. Compensation: $25-$40/hour, permanent full-time position. Closes May 1, 2026.
