Senior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst

The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to support the city's enterprise geographic information system. This position provides advanced GIS services to multiple city departments including public works, utilities, planning, and public safety. Key responsibilities include designing and developing GIS databases, applications, and web services, performing complex spatial analyses for urban planning and infrastructure management, creating and maintaining web mapping applications using ArcGIS Online and Experience Builder, managing ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Portal, Server, and Data Store, developing Python automation scripts for data processing and analysis, coordinating GIS data collection and quality assurance programs, producing cartographic products for city council presentations and public communications, integrating GIS with other enterprise systems including permitting, asset management, and work orders, providing technical guidance and training to city staff, and supporting emergency management operations with real-time GIS capabilities. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, urban planning, computer science, or related field, plus 3-5 years of professional GIS experience in a municipal or utility environment. Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS platform required. Experience with SQL databases, web development, and mobile GIS applications preferred. GISP certification desirable.
