Dewberry is seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst - Calibration Specialist to work on GIS/IT and Remote Sensing projects for state and federal clients across the US. The role involves reviewing and validating post-processed LiDAR datasets for completeness and accuracy, and communicating QA/QC findings to project managers. Key responsibilities include sensor or swath calibration and alignment adjustment, working with airborne lidar datasets to identify and correct sources of error including translation and orientation errors, performing quality assurance and quality control on LiDAR point cloud data, and ensuring compliance with ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards for Digital Geospatial Data and USGS LiDAR Base Specifications. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field with 5+ years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing field. Preferred experience with mainstream commercial software suites including Bayesmap StripAlign, TerraSolid Products, or adjustments in sensor vendor specific suites (Optech LMS, Riegl RiProcess), airborne lidar trajectory processing (Applanix PosPac MMS, Novatel Inertial Explorer), and extracting lidar using sensor vendor specific processing suites. Available in Tampa, FL or Fairfax, VA, with remote positions considered dependent on experience.
