Chesterfield County's Planning Department is hiring a Senior GIS Analyst for their Geospatial Services team. The role involves geospatial data analysis, collection, and maintenance with responsibilities spanning project management, GIS layer editing, cartography, and mobile/web application development using ESRI tools. The Senior GIS Analyst supports countywide spatial data initiatives, parcel fabric maintenance, web mapping development, and asset management for parks and other county facilities. Responsibilities include developing and editing complex GIS datasets; maintaining the county's parcel fabric; creating cartographic products; building mobile field collection apps and web mapping experiences; supporting project management for cross-departmental GIS efforts; and collaborating with planners, engineers, and other county staff. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in geography, cartography, planning, engineering, or related field; three years of increasingly responsible GIS experience; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (per Virginia DMV standards); pass pre-employment drug test, FBI background check, and education verification. Preferred experience: ESRI Parcel Fabric maintenance; ArcGIS Workflow editing experience; web mapping design using Experience Builder and Instant Apps; Parks/Recreation asset management knowledge.
