Senior GIS Specialist

Tetra Tech is seeking a full-time Senior GIS Specialist for their Kansas City, MO operations to support a variety of environmental and infrastructure projects in a dynamic consulting environment. The position functions primarily as a GIS Specialist for the Kansas City office while working with other GIS Specialists, data managers, and project managers across the company. Key responsibilities include performing advanced spatial analysis and geoprocessing for environmental assessment projects, developing and maintaining enterprise geodatabases for multi-site environmental monitoring, creating publication-quality maps and geospatial visualizations for client reports, building custom GIS tools and automation scripts using Python/ArcPy, supporting field data collection with mobile GIS applications, managing web mapping applications using ArcGIS Online and Portal, integrating GIS with environmental modeling and CAD systems, and providing GIS support across multiple project teams. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, environmental science, or related field, 5+ years of professional GIS experience in environmental consulting or similar setting, advanced proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, strong Python scripting skills, experience with geodatabase design and management, and excellent communication skills. Experience with environmental site assessment, regulatory compliance, and field data collection preferred. Salary estimated at $73,000-$95,000 based on experience.
