Senior Product Manager, AI Geo Assistant

Planet Labs seeks an experienced, customer-focused Product Manager to lead the productization, launch, and growth of their new AI Geospatial Assistant in San Francisco. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring three days weekly in the San Francisco office. Key responsibilities include directing high-velocity product development as it transitions from research to a fast-paced product group, leading customer-driven development phases with designers and user researchers, focusing on forensics and large-scale daily change use cases where Planet has competitive advantages, collaborating with executive sponsors, engineering managers, designers, and tech leads, and guiding the product from beta testing through general availability. Required qualifications: 10+ years of product management experience preferably in Earth Observation or geospatial domains, zero-to-one product launch expertise with ability to build, test, launch and iterate with velocity, knowledge of AI innovation, embeddings, and MCP technologies in remote sensing, deep customer insight and stakeholder management capabilities, and strong analytical skills with data-informed decision-making. Preferred: AI-based product experience in geospatial applications, multi-segment strategic product scaling, understanding of satellite and sensor operational constraints.
