Supervisory Physical Scientist/Oceanographer

This supervisory position leads interdisciplinary scientists and contractors within the Geospatial-Intelligence Analysis Division at the Naval Oceanographic Office. Key responsibilities include planning and organizing work for subordinate staff, setting priorities and scheduling project completion, monitoring progress across multiple initiatives and addressing delays, coordinating with other branches and departments, and staying current with technical specifications and methodologies. The role involves remote sensing and imagery analysis capabilities, supervisory and personnel management skills, and understanding of military oceanographic applications. Applicants must hold a degree in physical science, oceanography, or related field with 24+ semester hours in primary discipline. Requires one year specialized experience at GS-12 level. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret security clearance mandatory. Salary range: $106,437-$138,370 annually (GS-13).
