Visiting Assistant Professor of GIS

Gustavus Adolphus College's Department of Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in GIS (0.85 FTE) beginning August 15, 2026. The successful candidate will teach six course sections over the academic year, including introductory and advanced GIS courses plus courses in the candidate's specialty area. ArcGIS Pro proficiency is required. Preferred qualifications include teaching and research expertise in global health, remote sensing instruction capability, and experience supporting diverse student populations. This is a 9-month appointment with salary range of $46,325-$51,000. Required: PhD or ABD in Geography or related field, prior GIS experience through coursework, research, or teaching, and current U.S. work authorization.
