Analyst - GIS

Texas Tech University's Operations Division (Planning and Administration) seeks a GIS Analyst in Lubbock, TX. The position analyzes and coordinates office services and supports the application of GIS technology across the TTU campus. Major and essential functions include: assisting in the collection, organization, and maintenance of spatial data for ongoing projects; creating, editing, and updating maps and spatial databases to ensure data accuracy and relevance; performing basic spatial analyses to generate reports and visualizations that support project objectives and organizational needs; supporting data quality assurance efforts and helping maintain the accuracy of GIS datasets; collaborating with other departments and team members on GIS-related tasks and projects; facilitating the development of innovative GIS analytic solutions to support decision-making across the TTU campus; and assisting in managing, maintaining, and expanding the application of GIS technology within TTU operations.
