Chesapeake Conservancy is a non-profit organization based in Annapolis, Maryland, and a team of conservation entrepreneurs who use technology to enhance the pace and quality of conservation. The Chesapeake Data Project Manager (category: Conservation Technology) will execute and manage a 5-year geospatial land characterization project between the Conservancy's Conservation Innovation Center (CIC), the EPA, and the Chesapeake Bay Program's geospatial data and science team. The role ensures cooperation among the CIC, partners, and service providers to meet grant requirements and financial obligations, improve CIC visibility, develop new partnerships, and assess geospatial needs across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Essential functions include serving as project manager for bay-wide projects, leading a team of skilled analysts, managing the full life cycle of grants/contracts (work plans, EPA Action Plans, reporting), monitoring milestones and quality assurances, and writing Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), Quality Management Plans (QMP), and Data Management Plans (DMP). Reports to the Deputy Director of the Conservation Innovation Center. Requires a 4-year degree; salary $75,000-$85,000/year. Annapolis, MD, hybrid with one day per week in office.
