Database and GIS Associate (DRR/CCA)

The Database and GIS Associate supports the maintenance of DRR/CCA project databases and assists in the processing and compilation of data from IOM Displacement Tracking Matrix tools and other data sources. Responsibilities include supporting operational data collection and management activities such as data mapping, encoding, storage, cleaning and processing; assisting in the maintenance of interactive data visualization platforms including geoportals and web maps; supporting the uploading and organization of datasets and spatial layers on geospatial platforms; maintaining consistency and accuracy of displacement-related data for GIS products; and undertaking field missions to support monitoring and data collection. Experience organizing and publishing spatial datasets with complete metadata on GeoNode or similar geospatial platforms is required, along with proficiency in GIS software and database management.
