Enterprise GIS Coordinator

The City of Decatur is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise GIS Coordinator to lead and advance the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. This role serves as the City's primary GIS administrator and technical leader, responsible for managing enterprise spatial data, maintaining the ArcGIS platform, and delivering mapping and data solutions that support City operations and decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Administer ArcGIS Enterprise and Online systems with configuration, security, and performance oversight; manage enterprise spatial datasets including addressing, parcels, and infrastructure layers; develop web maps, dashboards, and mobile GIS tools for internal and public use; provide technical guidance to departmental GIS users across the organization; support emergency response and operational planning needs. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or related field; five years progressively responsible GIS experience in enterprise environments; strong ArcGIS expertise (Enterprise, Pro, Online); geodatabase design and SQL Server knowledge; valid Illinois driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Municipal/public sector GIS background; GIS Professional (GISP) certification; ESRI Technical Certification; Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. Salary Range: $89,700-$99,600 annually. Employees must reside within 50 miles of Decatur's corporate limits within 12 months of appointment.
