Position within the UN Global Service Centre's Analytics and Location Intelligence Unit (ALIU) of the Client Solutions Delivery Section (CSDS) within the Service for Geospatial, Information and Telecommunication Technologies (SGITT). The incumbent leads teams to deliver geospatial analytics, groundwater, geo-resistivity and ground penetrating radar field survey services. Key responsibilities include managing geospatial data collection and dissemination, overseeing quality assurance procedures, coordinating with UN entities and NGOs, and developing training programs. Required qualifications: Advanced degree in geospatial information science, cartography, or related field; minimum 7 years progressively responsible experience in geospatial information (applications, database management, terrain analysis, cartography, mapping, image processing, GPS, and surveying); proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, Erdas Imagine, etc.); fluent English. Desirable: ITIL Foundation, Prince2, and DevOps certifications; field operations experience; data analytics training. Duty station: Valencia, Spain (reporting to Brindisi, Italy).
