UNOPS Asia Pacific Multi-Country Office (Bangkok) seeks a Geographic Information System (GIS) Senior Analyst on a retainer basis to support UN agencies, international NGOs, and governments throughout the region. Under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Advisor, the GIS Senior Analyst will support the development and strategic management of geographic information systems for evidence generation and operational support, and will be responsible for the design and preparation of geographic representation of spatial and non-spatial data. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining mapping applications, conducting advanced spatial analysis, developing and maintaining self-service tools, automating processes, and managing spatial and non-spatial data. The role involves creating and managing large databases from primary and secondary data sources, advanced data analytics, generation of information products, and presentation of findings. The analyst collaborates across teams to support climate, food security, and poverty analysis while facilitating knowledge sharing in GIS practices among partners. Requires Master's Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics or related field (or Bachelor's + 2 years experience) and minimum 2 years GIS and remote sensing experience. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Desktop, QGIS, and remote sensing software required. Local Individual Contractor Agreement (LICA), maximum 200 days per year.
