The GIS Analyst performs technical work with geographic information systems to support public safety operations. Primary duties include collecting and maintaining a database of county information for data and graphics presentation purposes from various sources, and updating the streets, address points, subdivisions, Fire and Law Response Areas, and other layers as needed to support the CAD and Mobile system. The analyst provides technical expertise on mapping, analyzes geographic data, manages GIS database updates, and serves as technical liaison between the Sheriff's Office and other governmental agencies regarding mapping and addressing matters. Qualifications: high school diploma/GED minimum; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Two or more years of experience in GIS work preferred. Must be skilled in ESRI products like ArcGIS Pro and possess knowledge of relational database design and E911 address standards. Current Florida driver's license and FCIC/NCIC certification (within six months) required. Salary $68,814.10-$110,010.16 annually.
