Geographic Information Systems Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Common Operation Picture Manager responsible for integrating all operational command systems providing operational situation awareness in support of Army, Air Force, Marine, and Naval forces conducting Counter Drug/Counter Narco-Terrorism missions. Duties: Performs Common Operational Picture Manager duties; serves as support to the watch team for operational events and assists in plotting JTFN mission information to include all measurable mission data; serves as the lead point of contact for training, procedural and technical support, supporting the design, development, implementation and execution of training events intended to prepare and train the JTF-N staff, supporting units and other selected commands/agencies; serves as primary point of contact for recommending/approving the disclosure of classified and FOUO material to foreign partners. Requires knowledge of mapping products, web services and digital databases.
