Under limited supervision, the Geographic Information System (GIS) manager will perform the independent analysis, design, implementation, modification and upgrade of agency applications for geographic information systems and spatial data for the agency, to include statistical analysis, processing, automation of spatial data and advanced cartographic products. Emphasis will be placed on supporting Emergency Response and Health related Deputy Areas. Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, implement, maintain and provide technical support for geographic information systems and user applications as assigned to support health related program areas activities. Creates spatial solutions that support mission-critical activities in support of emergency operations. Provide technical back-up for other applications and analysts as assigned. Perform independent analysis of spatial data including statistical analysis, processing, and automation of spatial datasets. Develop advanced cartographic products for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with program areas to identify geospatial requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
