Conservation International is seeking a Geospatial Analyst Intern to support the long-term growth and success of its Asia-Pacific Field Division. The intern will support the geospatial workflow of REDD+ project MRV (monitoring, reporting, and verification) throughout priority sites in Southeast Asia, conducting land cover map statistical sampling and accuracy assessments using satellite data and cloud-based GIS tools like Collect Earth Online. The intern will collaborate with field teams to conduct remote-sensing and field validation of geospatial data, and assist with geospatial analysis, machine-learning algorithm development for land cover classification, and database management for projects in the Asia-Pacific Region using platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine.
