The Geospatial Information Officer will provide direct geospatial analysis and mapping support to WFP's operations and activities, working closely with GIS focal points in Regional Bureaux (RB) and Country Offices (CO). The incumbent reports directly to the Senior GIS Desk Officer, under the close supervision of the head of Mapping and Analysis team. Key responsibilities include acting as the GIS focal point for two of the six WFP Regional Bureaux, conducting annual GIS needs assessments with Country Offices, participating in region-specific coordination meetings, supporting production of emergency preparedness packages, and conducting rapid impact analysis and mapping during emergencies. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geoinformatics or relevant field; up to 4 years of relevant professional experience in geospatial related field, or first university degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training. Proven experience using ArcGIS (desktop and online) for spatial analysis and mapping is required; QGIS experience highly desirable, along with experience in spatial data collection and management. Humanitarian context experience is highly desirable.
