This entry-level Geospatial Technician position involves processing digital orthophoto imagery, performing quality control on lidar data, and managing GIS databases. The technician prepares, edits, and interprets orthophoto images from aerial photographs, survey data, and compilation data, and performs manual edit QC on LiDAR point cloud data to detect anomalies. Additional duties include GIS database creation and maintenance, hydro feature mapping, data compilation, and map production following established QA processes. Requires a high school diploma (Associate's or certificate preferred), exposure to lidar/orthoimagery/GIS software (ESRI, CADD, Photoshop), and the ability to view stereo 3D imagery. Pay $17-$22/hour.
