GIS Analyst (Research Analyst 3)

The Oregon Department of Energy seeks a GIS Analyst (Research Analyst 3). The position involves providing technical GIS support to the Energy Planning & Innovation Division and other ODOE program areas, including selecting, applying, and interpreting complex statistical analytical and forecasting techniques, designing computerized models, and analyzing and presenting the results in narrative and/or graphic form. The position serves as a project analyst on research studies for one or more divisions and is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating research methodologies and applying analytical techniques and concepts to geospatial, statistical and fiscal projects. This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule, with the incumbent expected to work at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon, at least six times per year.
