GIS Analyst

The City of Minneapolis Information Technology Department hired a GIS Analyst to provide GIS enterprise infrastructure services to the organization, enabling advanced analytic tools for decision-makers. Key responsibilities include managing spatial data provision across departments, overseeing GIS technical environments and infrastructure, supporting business solutions through GIS technology deployment, administering ArcSDE for Oracle and SQL systems, conducting complex GIS analysis for public policy and decision-making, researching new GIS technology releases, and managing consultant contracts. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Computer Science, Cartography, Geography, or a closely related field; five years of progressive GIS experience supporting decision-making and public policy formulation. Required skills: in-depth ESRI technology knowledge, SQL proficiency, geo-processing expertise, and familiarity with public safety data integration systems. On-site only. Requires Minneapolis Police Department criminal background check. Represented by MPEA collective bargaining agreement. Salary: $81,381-$111,990 annually.
