GIS Analyst

Ecostudies Institute (ESI) seeks a GIS professional to oversee spatial data infrastructure and provide organization-wide geographic information systems support. Primary responsibilities include providing centralized GIS support across all ESI programs, managing core spatial datasets and field applications, conducting spatial analyses and producing maps, automating routine GIS workflows, and delivering training and documentation to ESI staff. Key responsibilities include managing geodatabases, conducting spatial analyses, producing cartographic outputs, developing automated workflows using Python/ArcPy, deploying mobile field applications, and mentoring staff on GIS technologies. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of practical GIS experience, along with proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, geodatabase design expertise, Field Maps and Survey123 experience, scripting competency, and strong cartographic abilities. The role requires occasional fieldwork and the ability to obtain federal background clearance. Salary Range: $63,000-$71,882 annually.
