The GIS Analyst interfaces with County staff, citizens, businesses, and other governmental agencies to determine how the County's GIS can be applied to their specific tasks.
Duties
- maintaining expertise in GIS processes and county GIS data architecture;
- updating core county data layers and training staff on GIS management;
- answering GIS inquiries from citizens, businesses, and agencies;
- producing map products and datasets;
- managing payments, purchase orders, and budget tracking;
- providing technical support for hardware and software installation; and
- attending conferences and professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field plus 2 years of geospatial technology experience, or an equivalent combination; Geographic Information Systems certification or equivalent demonstration of skill.
Full-time, benefits eligible. Physical demands include medium work up to 50 pounds occasionally. Employees may be required to report during emergencies.
Salary $55,124.00-$73,039.00 annually. Position remains open until filled.
