Under the direction of the IT department, the Kane County GIS Analyst implements, maintains, and supports the county's geographic information systems, with a focus on cadastral data for county parcels. Key responsibilities include designing, coding, maintaining, and monitoring enterprise GIS datasets and solutions; providing user training and support for interactive GIS systems; conducting demonstrations and presentations; maintaining dataset documentation and metadata integrity; preparing GIS datasets for distribution; attending GIS user group meetings and conferences; assisting with GPS and drone field operations; maintaining interactive GIS websites; and supporting hardware and software inventory and configuration. Required qualifications: a bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, Planning, Computer Science, or a related field; 2-5 years of professional enterprise GIS experience; proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online; programming skills in HTML, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, Python, and JavaScript; and knowledge of cadastral standards and legal descriptions. Salary $29.36-$35.23 hourly.
