Under general supervision, performs technical work of considerable difficulty researching, gathering, analyzing and presenting geospatial data in static (PDF) and interactive (web) maps. Essential duties include digital conversion of GIS projects using various mapping techniques for parcels by legal descriptions; creating and maintaining static PDF and interactive web maps; converting data from various sources into a geodatabase; providing GIS technical guidance and assisting project teams; developing GIS standards and metadata; researching user needs for GIS applications and training; recommending systemic and operational improvements; and assisting with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online portal content maintenance. Qualifications: Associate degree in GIS, geography, urban planning, environmental science, or a related field, plus one year of professional ESRI software experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating job performance capability. Required knowledge and skills: ESRI GIS software proficiency; ArcGIS Desktop/Pro with Arcade, SQL, and Python; rectangular land survey system knowledge; cartographic design principles; advanced dataset analysis capabilities; static and interactive map creation; and effective user communication and workplace relationships.
