GIS Analyst

Performs basic to intermediate professional and technical work involving the development and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Work is performed under direct supervision. Key duties: develops and implements solutions to geographic data and products; performs quality control measures on geographic data; researches and resolves conflicting data problems; creates and maintains geographic data sets, research, and mapping; provides GIS products such as map services and feature data updates supporting county activities; works with GIS departmental staff and other departments; assists field and office staff with GIS applications and data needs; prepares technical studies and reports; and prepares and maintains files and records. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Surveying, Planning, Land Records, Civil Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; minimum two years of working experience with GIS products; proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise; knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; and strong technical analysis and communication abilities. Hiring ranges by level: GIS Analyst I $30.96-$42.57/hour, GIS Analyst II $33.13-$45.56/hour, GIS Analyst III $37.94-$52.17/hour.
